    Get in shape, GIRL!

I had my first session with a personal trainer today. I didn’t think I was SO out of shape.. but oh.my.goodness… I am.  Am looking forward to gettin’ in shape with this guy… he’s a pretty big guy, but very gentle.  He pushed me, but not super duper hard.  I got dizzy at some points and he let me rest. It’s very personal, working out with a personal trainer… since you’re huffing and puffing away… your fat jiggling everywhere… your body in all sorts of weird positions…

    Ham

My friend H.Wolfe pointed out that you’re supposed to eat TURKEY on Thanksgiving, not ham, and that I shouldn’t be so Oriental. Ha ha.  My two sisters and I had a nice dinner – just the three of us. The best part of the meal was the rustic apple tart that my sister prepared from Jacques Pepin recipe. It’s so simple and SO good.  We had ham, green beans with shallot butter, brussels sprouts hash, cornbread stuffing, and mashed potatoes.

Ate the leftovers for lunch and then dinner tonight.

    Google

Is it weird to admit to your coworker that you did indeed google him?  He seemed unfazed, but inside, was he thinking “why is this girl stalking me?”

    Firefly

I bought this TV series on sale at Borders.  An excellent series that was cancelled WAY too early.  The guy in the movie is the love interest in the movie Waitress.

  • Oh.The.Sad.Ness.

    I believed.

Up until there were 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

Still love ya Blue.  But you’s GOT to shape up.

Hart – you’re still the best.

  • Happy Birthday Chamsky!

In a newly created tradition, instead of gifts, we’ve decided to take our most important p-amily members to dinner at quintessential NY restaurants.

We took our mom to Bouley; and this time, we took our sister to:

We’re so blessed to have the means to experience such amaaaaazing food… once!

  • When it comes to Michigan football.. no dignity.

At a semi-quiet dinner at an Italian restaurant for a friend’s birthday, I receive a text message from my sister (which she had sent HOURS earlier) telling me that Ohio State lost to Illinois.  Immediately, I turn to the guy next to me – also a fellow Go Bluer- and tell him.  The guy sitting in front of me (who grew up in Houston but is a Michigan fan) , the guy sitting next to me, and I almost jump out of our seats simultaneously, whoopin’ and hollerin’.

We got a few stares for that.

  • Spelt

Had some in a form of a cupcake tonight. It wasn’t bad!

Also ate a DEELICIOUS tuna sandwich in sesame bread at a Chinese restaurant.

  • Stress

Again, my dear Michigan Wolverines stressed me out.

But as always, they fought their way back.

Only two more games left, but the only one that matters?

    Beat the Buckeyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Go Blue!.

  • I love celebrities

When I was younger, I used to say “oh, if I saw, say, Johnny Depp on the street, I would just go up to him and say ‘hey, johnny, wassup?’”

    NOT ANYMORE.

When I see a celebrity, I feel my face getting red and my heart beats faster.

Today, that happened to me TWICE!

I saw BONO being interviewed by reporters on the steps of City Hall. He was short.

Then, as I was walking up the stairs to my meeting there, who else comes down the stairs but the Mayor himself!

It was an exciting day. More exciting than the meetings I had.
