  • Happy Belated 21st Birthday to my dear cousin YE-RI sama!   My cousins and I all grew up together in Houston for many many years, which I see, now, was a great great thing.  So it's strange and nice and sad to see all my little cousins (I'm the second oldest) grown up.  It's especially sad because now I can't make them be in all the stupid plays I used to do.  Hmm... but maybe at the next P-amily P-ellowship, for old times' sake???

Also, Happy Belated birthday to my cousin Amy-sama, whom I haven't seen in YEARS but am now in touch with through Xanga!  (jazznraindrops)

Continuing on the birthday theme, my neighbor's daughter celebrated her 4th birthday yesterday with a nice party outside our apartment building:

Here are most of the kids who live in my apartment building.  There is a mix of Russian and Uzbek families who live here.

    How cute are these shoes!

    More later...

  • Thanks, Ahrim unni! Yeah, I got a stomach virus yesterday. That wasn't very fun.

    I hope you're doing well!

    Miss you and love ya!

    Yeri.

  • they're beautiful...

  • the shoes ARE cute.  I just saw an Iranian movie called Children of Heaven...and it was about a little boy who lost his sister's shoes.  they were too poor to buy new shoes, so he and his sister had to share his sneakers...it was cute.

  • i just saw some pics from some friends who went there to uzbek-land! good memories... did you happen to meet up with them? i heard that they were planning to...

  • yeah those plays!! cuz I have this distinct memory of me being shoved into a box and playing the little bird that hatched from an egg that cherim laid. hahaha weird how the mind chooses which memories to remember and which memories to block out...you'd think I would block out this one hahaha thanks for the birthday shout out!

  • i like the 2 pairs of shoes that are out of order.

  • is that a picture of you or your cousin?  she looks so much like you!
