Why studying Russian is like seppuku (Japanese samurai suicide), reason #2,245,353:
The word "lunch", for example, changes depending on whether you say BEFORE lunch or AFTER lunch.
WHY? WHY is that necessary?
Excellent chick flick by an excellent director, Ang Lee. His range of movies is impressive:
The Wedding Banquet
The Ice Storm
Eat Drink Man Woman
The Hulk (didn't see it)
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Having studied Russian myself, I can gag along with you. It's as bad as latin.
The thing about "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" was the anger in realizing that I'd been duped into watching what was actually a chick-flick...
wow! had no idea he directed this movie...
have you watched S&S with the director's commentary? it's very interesting!
I would pass on the Hulk...unless you can catch it on TV. The movie was a good effort to be different, but somehow it didn't quite make it.
gotta echo inari -- every director and actor deserves to erase one freak failure from their resume -- Hulk is it.
you forgot the hand motions associated with seppuku... and my confusion at what the heck you were doing.
what is the ice storm?
